The Newwave Foundation is proud to present ‘In Your Own Words’

As we close out Mental Health Awareness month, NWF is excited to bring you a mental wellness focused webinar from the youth perspective, featuring a diverse panel made up of college students and mentors. Through the power of storytelling, we will unpack the meaning of school-life balance for students and young adults, and the impact it can have on physical, emotional and mental well-being. Join us next Thursday, May 27th @ 12:00pm EST for a vibrant conversation that will help to start breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health.

We will be joined alongside Newwave Foundation Scholars; Justice Georgie (Morgan State University Sophomore), Maynor Aguilar (Community College of Baltimore County Freshman), Jordyn Middleton (University of North Carolina Chapel Hill rising Freshman), and Aryn Monroe (Ohio University rising Freshman), Austin Korycki (Salisbury University Freshman), Clinical Psychologist, Dr.Hayley Watson, and College Bound, Inc. (D.C.) Executive Director, Kenneth Ward.
Please share this event with the students in your life, be it your kids, nieces and nephews, to get ready to hear from their peers in their own words, during an hour packed discussion that will hopefully prove to be life-changing. We can’t wait to see you there!
