The Newwave Foundation team would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our sponsors, partners and friends for supporting NWF’s recent Golden Age of Hollywood Gala at the Modell-Lyric Performing Arts Center!

It was a privilege to spotlight our three incredible 2018 Gala beneficiaries: Girls Inspired & Ready to Lead (GIRL), GoTherapy, and LSSVI’s Queen Louise Home for Children at the event. We were excited to welcome back our EMCEE of the evening, Guy Lambert of WPGC 95.5 FM and were pleased to have Guardian Dance Company and Alex Abdoulaev provide the live dancing showcase and jazz musical selections.

During the program, we heard from two outstanding young women: Zoree Jones, GIRL Representative, who shared about the impact GIRL has had on her life as a 16-year-old entrepreneur, and from Robin Baker, co-founder of GoTherapy, a nonprofit organization focused on physical rehabilitation services for those in need. We were also honored to welcome our special guests of the evening, Brent Howard (President, Baltimore Chamber of Commerce), Shawna Melvin (Former Miss District of Columbia) and Sabina Taj (Education Advocate in Howard County).
